Short version: it's your Mac and your Trello. We're not in between.

Kaartje is made by Sulejman, a one-person company in the Netherlands. This page explains what the app and this website do with data, in plain words.

The app

Kaartje runs entirely on your Mac. It has no servers of its own, no accounts, no analytics and no crash reporting. The only service it talks to is Trello's API, and only to do what you asked: load your boards, lists and labels, and create the card you're saving with its attachments.

Your Trello token is stored in your Mac's Keychain. It never leaves your Mac except in requests to Trello.
What Kaartje reads — the current browser tab, the selected mail message, the selected files, the text you selected — it reads only at the moment you press the shortcut, to prefill the card. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere other than to Trello, and only if you press Save.
Screenshots are taken only when you ask for one, and go to the card you're creating. They are not kept by Kaartje afterwards.
Preferences (your shortcut, default board, labels) live in the app's settings on your Mac.

macOS will ask you for permissions — Automation, Accessibility, Screen Recording — before Kaartje can do those things. Each one is optional and can be switched off in System Settings at any time.

What you put on Trello is covered by Atlassian's privacy policy, not by this one.

This website

This site is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We don't use cookies, trackers or analytics. Cloudflare may keep short-lived request logs (such as your IP address) to run and protect the service; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google sees the request for the font files.

Buying a licence

When Kaartje goes on sale, payments will be handled by a payment provider (a so-called merchant of record). They process your payment details and send us your e-mail address and order so we can issue your licence key and help you if something goes wrong. We keep that as long as your licence is valid.

E-mail

If you write to us, we keep your message so we can reply and follow up. We don't add you to any list.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted. Honestly, it will almost always be just your e-mails and your order. Send a message to shot@hey.com and we'll sort it out.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and say so on the website.
